Absorption

The hydrolytic action by which the material is broken down results in total absorption in approximately 180 to 210 days.
The material retains approximately 70% of its initial tensile strength at the end of fourth week.
Approximately 50% of tensile strength remain after six weeks.

Contraindication
Cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery and prosthetic devices.
Since it is an absorbable suture; It should not to use when an extended wound support is required.

SURCARPONE is available in USP sizes 6/0 through 2 (metric sizes 0.7-5.0).
SURCARPONE is available with needles in one dozen boxes.
Three dozen suture boxes available on customer request.
